Class Synopsis
As printmaking is a medium that so readily adapts itself to individual interpretation, this class will appeal to both those with printmaking experience and to those who may not be familiar with the printmaking process but have a curiosity about the medium and a desire to extend their preferred medium into print. We will work with both black and white etching and explore the various methods of intaglio colour printmaking. In addition we will investigate the qualities of relief printmaking (lino and wood blocks).
You can work with these techniques separately or decide on a print that involves a combination of these, or simply devote your time to concentrating on one medium. Bring along your drawings and photographs and discover how to adapt and develop your ideas into beautiful multiple prints.
