Cees was schooled at arts academies in The Hague and Rotterdam. He is known for his excellent drawing skills in pen with added wash or watercolour and mixed media. He prefers a semi abstract style with objects, people, animals, land and streetscapes . Cees’ passion is to give joy through his work to the viewer using a unique combination of life, light, movement, texture and composition. His CV includes teaching art at TAFE, Brisbane Arts Academy, Grafton Artsfest, Charles Sturt Bathurst and McGregor Schools. He takes artists on tours overseas and conducts frequent workshops in both Queensland and New South Wales.

Class Synopsis

Cees will help you to discover new ways of sketching in pen, adding a wash or producing a full watercolour. Our aim is to let the artist within you come out and explore your field of creativity. Everyone’s work is different and Cees will help you to find your unique style. From day one we will commence our varied program which includes: street and water scenes, landscapes, animals, people in the landscape and more. Yes, we will be discussing perspective drawing but … in an uncomplicated and fun way. Cees will help you to fully enjoy your art. The media we use is very suitable to illustrate your own travel diary, wherever you go! So if you are starting out or are already experienced, come along and enjoy.
