Summer School

The McGregor Summer School has established itself as one of the premier residential, performing, visual and creative arts learning experiences in Australia. Over 500 participants converged on the USQ campus in Toowoomba for this popular residential arts retreat in January 2008.

The  Summer School, now in its 41st year, has gained an excellent reputation for its intimate creative atmosphere. It has a larger and broader focus than the Winter School, however the quality of tuition, the attractive relaxing atmosphere of the USQ campus are still features of the School.

Admission to the Summer School

Join the stimulating and creative atmosphere for 10 days of enjoyment in Toowoomba from 7-17 January 2009. All visual and creative art workshops are available for students aged 18 years and over.  The performing arts programs have different entry levels and these details can be found under Performing Arts.  If you require further information on classes being offered in 2009, enrolment and administrative matters contact the McGregor Schools staff for assistance.

Fees and Payment Options

The organisers of the Schools are aware that attendance is a major investment by students in their creative growth and enjoyment. In recognition of this a number of Fee Payment Options have been established to assist in reducing the financial burden to students.

About the Program and Accommodation

To obtain maximum enjoyment from the Summer School program you should take advantage of our college accommodation. Students from all the classes share a stimulating atmosphere of discussion, dining, partying and relaxing after each day of creative activity and there is no cooking, cleaning or transport worries.

During the School

During the 10 days the organisers, staff and tutors have prepared Artistic Events and Entertainment to make your McGregor Experience more fulfilling and enjoyable.
