Lyn Butchart, Grafton

Lyn Butchart is one of Australia’s finest watercolour and pastel artists. She has been a tutor and professional artist for over 30 years and has conducted workshops and seminars both in Australia and overseas. Lyn undertakes some of the largest watercolours in Australia and overseas with her unique style. Her use of vibrant colours and textures combine to bring harmony and balance to her work. Her work is held in private and corporate collections around the world and has also been featured in national art magazines featuring watercolour and mixed media works. With her willingness to share her skills, Lyn has now branched into the corporate arena with her ‘Corporate Art Therapy’ workshops. These are designed for corporate groups as relaxation therapy, held at resorts. Now living in Grafton, NSW, Lyn travels frequently to conduct workshops around Australia. 

Course Synopsis

Lyn will give demonstrations of various subjects covering colour, design and abstraction and show how to create the vibrant colours without creating ‘mud’. A wide variety of subject matter will be covered, with encouragement to explore any personal preference you may have to your own reference material. Lyn always encourages an enjoyable class atmosphere to inject creativity.
