Carolyn Delzoppo is an internationally renowned specialist in the technique of cloisonne enamel. She has received many awards for her work both in Australia and internationally, including in Japan, US and Spain. She regularly exhibits her cloisonne miniatures and jewellery, most recently in a solo exhibition in Germany and her work is represented in many public and private collections. She has been invited to conduct workshops for members of the US Enamelist Society and for the German Enamel Guild. In 1990 she was invited to participate in an international Enamel Symposium in the Soviet Union.  She has been a regular and popular tutor at the McGregor Summer School for twelve years.

Course Synopsis

In this workshop you will learn all facets of the cloisonné enamel technique on both silver and copper. You will make a beautiful pendant, and several other optional projects of your choice.

Tuition in all stages of cloisonne enamelling will be covered, including design with line and colour, preparation of metal, preparation and wet-laying of enamel, firing, and finishing techniques. Use of foils, underglazes and drawing techniques are also covered.

The workshop is suited to both the beginner and more experienced enameller.
