Course Synopsis
Love plants? Have a favourite flower you've always wanted to paint but didn't know where to start?
Acquire the skills to visually record the magic of the botanical world around you. This workshop focuses on individual attention in the exploration and use of the fundamental principles of line, shading, composition and the effect of light to define the form, structure and texture of the specimen. Colour mixing and its application and daily demonstrations are an integral part of the course. A full tone graphite drawing of the plant will be transformed into a full colour botanical illustration in watercolour. Accuracy of botanical details is emphasised throughout the week.
