Course Synopsis
The class will cover Still Life, Portraiture, Life Drawing and Landscape. The first two days will be spent on your own unique still life. The image should sustain your interest and an elevated mood for the next two days, which will be about learning ‘What it is that you see'. Students will then home their skills and apply them to what is considered "The Highest Principle' in a day of portrait painting. This will be followed by a day of drawing and painting the nude figure, and finally a day of landscape painting, working from photographs and (weather permitting) plein air painting.
