Mignon Parker, Sydney

Mignon’s foray into the art world began at North Sydney Technical College, after which she went on to attend the National Art School’s Diploma of Design, before being offered employment in the advertising industry in Sydney. During her career in the arts Mignon has remained a prolific artist, conducting workshops at well established art schools and her home studio. Her work is not limited to one style, rather a unique and diverse ride through many different styles and techniques. Inspired by nature her passion is colour and texture. Her work is represented in collections in England, Europe and Australia.

Course Synopsis

Small paintings are fun; working in miniature or no larger than A4 size gives the artist a fabulous opportunity to explore and experiment with many mediums and techniques such as gold leaf, pen and ink, collage, faux finishes and most importantly, your own imagination. Each of the four days will be working with a different subject, from exotic places from the East and Europe to nude figurative (optional). Artists will take home a wealth of information and stacks of beautiful art works.

Artist models from Leeton Agency will be used in this class.will be used in this class.

Materials

Minimum of $100 for gold leaf and other finishes, up to $300. The detailed materials list contains suggested items.
