Christine Thompson is an award winning milliner with over eighteen years’ experience in Opera, Theatre and Musicals. Credits include operas, Carmen, Madame Butterfly, My Fair Lady, the film, Moulin Rouge and musicals, Dr Zhivago, Love Never Dies, A Funny Thing happened on the way to the Forum, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Phantom of the Opera. Christine now runs a successful business in the Blue Mountains combining teaching the art of millinery and producing original headwear for fashion, bridal parties, the spring racing carnival and all aspects of theatre and film.
Course Synopsis
In this workshop participants are shown how to create and design a range of hats for all seasons and occasions. A summery sun hat, a warm cosy winter hat and an ‘over the top’ original, one of kind hat or fascinator for that special occasion in your life!
Participants can either draft their own hat patterns during class under instructions, or purchase a completed pattern from the tutor. You may further personalize your creations with easy to do surface designs, which are also taught during this workshop.
