Colley Whisson, Brisbane

 

Colley Whisson was born in May, 1966 in Brisbane, Australia.  He commenced painting in 1986.  Colley's main aim is to produce modern, realist images with as much artistic content.  Colley's first book was published in 2001 to much acclaim.  Also, numerous articles with the International Artist and Australian Artist magazines enables his work to continue to reach new audiences. Colley has representation with galleries throughout Australia and abroad.  His artistic skills are in high demand.  He is currently in the process of completing work on his second bood and demonstration DVD which is scheduled to be released in early 2009.

Class Synopsis

Colley will ensure that each student has a good personal working environment to allow each student to explore the wonderful world of Modern Impressionism.  Students from beginners to advanced are welcome.  Colley will be focussing his attention on tone, composition and brushwork, with special attendion on the importance of edges (soft and hard).  There will be a slide show presentation for the students to show his favourite art works and some of his lat4st unpublished paintings.  Students are welcome to bring their own finished paintings for some constructive guidance.  This workshop will be conducted in a step-by-step process allowing all students the best chance to see the way a painting is constructed.
