This is a non-threatening, fun workshop, exploring the many necessary techniques that will enable students to draw well and with confidence.   Whether you wish to expand your knowledge or are an accomplished artist wishing to finely hone your drawing skills, the exercises given to you by Keith (with plenty of demonstrations) will prepare you for the creation of artwork on any subject.  Instruction will cover tone, light and shade, composition, portraiture and a thorough knowledge of perspective.  In fact everything that is required for you to successfully draw or paint buildings, boats, birds, animals, flowers, people etc.

Keith works in all mediums, particularly excelling in draftsmanship.  Many of his drawings have been published, his most popular collection being in the book ‘Australia’s Heritage Sketchbook’, which gained him the reputation of being one of Australia’s finest pen and ink artists.  His knowledge of art has been shared and expanded by teaching since 1972 and for many years he has been a regular guest tutor at several universities.  Because of his extraordinary drawing skills he was commissioned by Perth Mint to complete detailed works of each State’s Parliament House to commemorate Federation, and these were acclaimed as exceptional ‘collectors’ artworks.
