Materials to be supplied by the student

Acrylic paints – Artists quality ie Atelier, Matisse, Infinity- *colour suggestions: Lemon Yellow, Indian Yellow, Red Gold, Napthol Red, Pyrrole Crimson, Brilliant Magenta, Quinacridone Magenta,  Dioxidone Purple, Ultramarine Blue, Cobalt Turquoise, Pthalo Blue, Raw Umber, Indigo, all *colours optional –(bring what you have)
Plus Titanium White & include gold or copper & sml amount white gloss acrylic paint


Inks: Black, plus silver or gold pearlized ink
Acrylic flow medium, modeling paste, Gesso (white)
Miscellaneous: 
No More Gaps with nozzle
PVA Glue & glue brush
Impasto gel


Stretched or prepared canvas boards or gessoed stretched paper
2 x large, 2 x med, 2 x small, plus extra paper for testing products
Bamboo stick or nib pen
1 x Sheet good quality rice paper
some white tissue paper
Sheet of glass (taped edges) or Perspex approx A3 size
Pallet knives
Scissors
Mixing plates
8 x mixing containers with lids (specimen jars)
Hairdryer (tagged 2008)
Rags/Water Containers
Water Spray bottle
Brushes - Taklon 2 x lge, 1 x med, Small 3" roller
Phillips screwdriver

Tiny glass coloured beads, charcoal & soft pastels to draw with
Collage Materials: Approx ½ m white or cream muslin, length of cords, string, gauze, fluted cardboard, Alfoil, netting or onion bag, bubble wrap, stringy materials, organic material, lace, paper doilies
Subject – Open - Abstract and design, seascapes, portraits & nudes
Butterflies, dragonflies, birds, flowers, fruit, etc
Coffee mug – tea, coffee, milk and sugar are not supplied by the School
Easel – A-frame easels are supplied by the School, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer


IMPORTANT:  All electrical equipment required for your class at USQ must be ‘tag-tested' by a qualified electrician prior to arrival in order to comply with safety rules.  Items include: extension cords, hair dryers, and radio/CD players etc.

HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES AND MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS
If you bring any hazardous substance to the McGregor School, could you please ensure that you obtain a MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) from the supplier or obtain one from the manufacturer of this substance.
To do this, either ask the supplier from whom you purchase the hazardous substance, or read the contact details on the hazardous substance and contact the manufacturer and ask for a MSDS). Once you have obtained the MSDS, bring it with you to the school, and hand in a copy to the McGregor School office and or the Tutor.
Hazardous substance can be: e.g. solvents, acids, some paint and glues, chemicals, fixatives, fluxes and solders.
If you are unsure, the Supplier and or manufacturer should be able to inform you if the substance is classed  as hazardous.
