A4 size pad hot pressed (smooth) water colour paper
A4 size pad oil sketch paper (Canson brand or similar )
A4 size canvas pad (or similar size )

Sketch pad approx A2 size (craft paper or similar)
Japanese printed papers ( these come in A4size from art shops)
OR a pkt of Washi Origami papers ( small prints are best )
1 sheet tracing paper

FAUX GOLD LEAF
This comes in many types, have fun experimenting with gold, silver, variegated
Look around some times this can be purchased in small quantities .
1 pkt gold leaf (many names German, Faux, Imitation)
I will bring a selection @ $5 per sheet (not silver or copper)

Acrylic gold size small bottle (x-press-it brand)
1 Tin satin spray adhesive (this can be purchased from Mignon as only a little will be used)

Bring a selection synthetic will work best

Size 4, 6, 9 Flat (Golden Nylon) Art Basics brand or similar
1 old brush for gluing
I stippling or stencil brush (medium)

BRING YOUR OWN COFFEE MUG – tea, coffee, milk and sugar are not supplied by the School. Classes can pool funds to buy supplies for the week which can be stored in the Tea Room provided. Please note that students are responsible for keeping their allocated tea room clean and tidy.

APPROXIMATE COST TO STUDENT: $100 for gold leaf and up to $150 for other items – experienced artists should have most materials.

HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES AND MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS

 

If you bring any hazardous substance to the McGregor School, could you please ensure that you obtain a MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) from the supplier or obtain one from the manufacturer of this substance.

To do this, either ask the supplier from whom you purchase the hazardous substance, or read the contact details on the hazardous substance and contact the manufacturer and ask for a MSDS). Once you have obtained the MSDS, bring it with you to the school, and hand in a copy to the McGregor School office and or the Tutor.

Hazardous substance can be: e.g. solvents, acids, some paint and glues, chemicals, fixatives, fluxes and solders.

If you are unsure, the Supplier and or manufacturer should be able to inform you if the substance is classed as hazardous.
