Solvents: Odourless Solvent for cleaning brushes at the end of the day and Odourless Lean Medium for mixing paint (fastest drying)

Brushes:

Art Spectrum 1000F, size 12 flat long bristle - hog hair not synthetic (approx 25mm wide)
Art Spectrum size 6 Filbert (approx 10mm wide)
Art Basics Taklon liner size 2 - long bristle

 
Boards: Smooth canvas, masonite or hardboard (MDF) – 3.5mm thickness

Preparation Coat hardboards with (1) coat of gesso. All canvas/hardboards should be coated with an off white or cream acrylic paint at a ratio of 50% water, 50% paint.

Easel: The School provides timber A-frame easels in the studio but if you wish to bring your own you may do so. Colley suggests a standing or table easel, approx 16” x 12”

Coffee mug Tea, coffee, milk and sugar are not supplied by the School. Classes can pool funds to buy supplies for the week which can be stored in the Tea Room provided. Please note that students are responsible for keeping their allocated tea room clean and tidy.

IMPORTANT: All electrical equipment required for your class at USQ must be ‘tag-tested’ by a qualified electrician prior to arrival in order to comply with safety rules. Eg: extension cords and hair dryers etc.
