Life in Occupied Palestine
The seminar was organised as part of the Multicultural Centre’s ongoing Global Issues Seminar Series and took place on Wednesday 27 October from 12:30pm to 2:00pm in lecture theatre L206.
Ms Anna Baltzer, Jewish American author, provided insights into daily life in Palestine. She presented a frank and open account of the difficulties Palestinians are experiencing in attempting to work, eat and care for their families in what they perceive to be a hostile and life-threatening environment.
The seminar was well attended and attracted broad media coverage. The presentation inspired lively debate and challenged the speaker with incisive and thought provoking questions. Uni News reported on the seminar in an article placed on the USQ Website.
