Functions

Functions of the Multicultural and Transnational Advisory Committee are to:

  • advise the University on multicultural matters
  • promote USQ as a multicultural and transnational University
  • provide University wide forum to discuss multicultural and transnational issues
  • assist the University in development and implementation of its unique USQ Multicultural Policy
  • assist in developing the concept of transnational University and to undertake appropriate activities in this regard
  • develop and implement the University's mission and vision statements in relation to multiculturalism and transnational education
  • ensure the University's involvement in community events and developments associated with multiculturalism
  • develop specific programs appropriate for the University and broader community in the area of multiculturalism
  • assist in maximising the benefits of multiculturalism on campus and in the broader community.

  3. Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) (or nominee)
  4. Chair, Multicultural Staff Network (or nominee)
  5. President, Multicultural & Multilingual Student Association
  6. Manager, Equal Opportunity
  7. Manager, Student Equity
  8. Two members of academic staff nominated by the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Regional Engagement and Social Justice)
  9. One representative from the international student body nominated by the Pro Vice-Chancellor (International)
  10. Manager, Multicultural Centre (Executive Officer and Secretary).
