The USQ Youth Leadership Forum (YLF) is an exciting one-day event for emerging leaders in Years 9 to 12 across Toowoomba, the Darling Downs and South-Western Queensland.
The University of Southern Queensland would like to invite your school to participate in the 2013 Youth Leadership Forum (YLF), taking place on Friday 19th April from 9:00am to 2:30pm at USQ, Toowoomba campus.
This year’s YLF theme is Leading a Team, Leading a Project with a focus on the practical skills needed to lead a project team. Further details can be found in the event program (PDF* 60KB).
The guest speaker is Jean Madden, the founder of Street Swags for the homeless. Together with the help of numerous aid organisations and volunteers, Jean’s team have distributed over 25 000 Street Swags to the homeless ‘sleeping rough’ across Australia.
Current or emerging school leaders from Years 9 to 12 are invited to participate in this event. The cost per student is $30.00 (GST inclusive) and this will include the key note address, involvement in workshops, morning tea, lunch and one group photograph per school.
Photographs and filming will take place throughout this event. Please arrange for a USQ Talent Release form (PDF* 128KB) to be completed by all staff and students attending and bring these with you on the day.
