Premier to Welcome Students at USQ Springfield

Queensland Premier Peter Beattie will address the first student cohort of students at USQ's new Springfield Campus, during the Official Welcome at O Week on Monday, 27 February.

Commencing the proceedings in USQ's Auditorium, Premier Beattie will address more than 250 students who have enrolled to study at the Campus from the Faculties of Business, Science, Education and Arts.

USQ Springfield Campus Director, Doug Fraser, said the University was looking forward to hosting the Premier.

"We are honoured Premier Beattie has chosen to address our students on such an auspicious occasion for the University." Mr Fraser said.

"Students at USQ Springfield can expect a first class education."

Following the official USQ Springfield Student Welcome the Department of Premier and Cabinet will meet at Education City and tour the Campus's facilities.
