'Several talented people have already signed up including ukulele players, clowns, singers and dancers,' Anna said.

'We are now looking forward to holding the final round of auditions in at Bon Amici Café in Margaret Street through July.'

Auditions will run from 8pm to 12pm on Tuesdays including the 17th, 24th and 31st of July with Bon Amici providing free coffee for performers.

USQ Brand Manager, Andrea Brosnan, said Buskers Lane will be one of the many community-involvement attractions at the USQ Toowoomba Open Day.

'More than 20 different acts will be featured on the day in seven performing areas, as well as several roving entertainers.

'We will also have jumping castles, magic shows, gaming workshops and robot soccer matches.

Prospective students will still have plenty of opportunity to learn more about what the University has to offer.

'Open Day is an opportunity for prospective students to experience university life first hand and explore the many study options available at USQ,' Andrea said.

'There will be a number of presentations and displays from all areas of the University, as well as information booths with staff and students on hand to answer questions.

'Open Day will be an informative and interactive day with something for everyone, whether you are eight or eighty,' Andrea said.

Performers at Open Day will receive payment as well as a Bon Amici voucher.
