Casual Administration process improvements
In June this year, the University’s Human Resources department rolled out a new casual administration system which utilises the University’s recently upgraded PeopleSoft software.
The new system compliments the administrative business process changes which have been occurring throughout 2010.
It enables Human Resources staff to raise casual contracts online and removes double handling of appointment details.
Once a contract has been raised, casual staff are now able to view their contract details and submit pay claims online through Employee Self Service. This has further reduced the paperwork and data entry involved in casual pay claim processing.
Improved centralised reporting has also been included with plans in place to include additional reports in the future to assist with managing casual staff.
