Tours to showcase region to international audience
A beautiful body workshop and selection of half and full day tours around the region including wineries, gardens and museums have been planned. Tour organiser Annette Nanka said all tastes have been accommodated with the range of afternoon activities. 'We’ve aimed to provide something for everyone’s enjoyment whether they are more of a historian, gardener, wine lover or into the arts,' Ms Nanka said The Sacred Forms: Beautiful bodies workshop encourages each woman to recognise, respect, love, honour and celebrate her own sacred and beautiful body. 'The Sacred Forms workshop includes body casting and aims to discover the goddess in everyone and reclaim women’s personal power.' The selection of afternoon tours is designed to showcase the local area to the international conference audience. 'The tours are a great opportunity for the region to exhibit all of the wonderful things that make up the Darling Downs - the history, culture, gardens, food and wine,' she said. A trip to Stanthorpe and the Queensland College of Wine Tourism is included in the three-quarter day tour. 'This tour includes a walk through the newly established college of wine tourism and the opportunity to sample the delicious menu which is of course accompanied by a selection of wines. 'Guests of the tour will be able to enjoy the grandeur of Glengallan Homestead north of Warwick and will be home in time for the cocktail reception,' Mrs Nanka said. Half day tour options include Toowoomba’s Gardens; Arts & Crafts; Art & Antiques; Panoramic and Historic Toowoomba; Jondaryan Woolshed; Local Winery Tour and Cobb & Co Museum.
