USQ students are invited to nominate for USQ Council Elections

Are you an enrolled USQ student who would like to represent the student community on USQ Council? Nominations are open to fill one vacancy on the 8th USQ Council for a two year term of office from 7 October 2011 to 6 October 2013.

USQ Council is a 14 person committee led by the Chancellor that is responsible for the overall governance of the University.

Ms Pam Steele, Secretary to Council said that this opportunity would be a fantastic experience for a student.

“The student representative can make a real contribution to the governance and strategic decision making at USQ and provide great experience for the elected student,” Ms Steele said.

USQ Council meets six times per year at USQ’s three campuses – Toowoomba, Fraser Coast and Springfield along with the Queensland College of Wine Tourism in Stanthorpe.
