Faculty of Education Celebrates Research Success

The USQ Faculty of Education has celebrated a year of outstanding achievement in research, at the Inaugural Faculty of Education Research Showcase on October 13 at USQ Toowoomba.

Chancellor Bobbie Brazil joined more than 50 faculty staff, doctoral students and guests to launch the first Research Achievements Booklet, which chronicles the Faculty’s research outcomes over the past 18 months.

Dean of the Faculty of Education, Professor Nita Temmerman, said the Research Achievements Booklet demonstrates the depth and breadth of research being undertaken by the Faculty of Education and is something the Faculty can be duly proud of.

'The Booklet has already received very positive accolades from a number of community groups and it will also provide a wonderful opportunity for international networks, students and researchers the Faculty is affiliated with, to read about the research strengths the Faculty has been building over the past couple of years.'

The Faculty of Education Research Showcase also featured the launch of three new books, all fully authored and edited by members of the Faculty, and the launch of a new Faculty Research Centre, the Capacity Building Research Network.

Team members involved in the Research Network are Robyn Henderson, Patrick Danaher, Catherine Arden, Warren Midgley, Linda De George-Walker, Karl Matthews, Karen Noble, and Mark Tyler.
