Professor Jeffrey Soar will join with other e-health specialists in Budapest to develop research |
A USQ researcher has been selected as one of 10 Australian e-health specialists to travel to Europe to develop collaborative research projects in this field.
Professor Jeffrey Soar will join a group of world experts in e-Health during the study workshop in Budapest, which is being funded by the federal government through National ICT Australia.
'The outcomes are expected to be quality collaborative applications to European grant schemes,' Professor Soar said.
'The 10 researchers have been selected on the basis of motivation and being highly likely to succeed on EU/EC grants.'
The NICTA has received funding to advance Australian interactions with the European Commission - toward FP8 and further programs – through Australian contributions to grants.
'The NICTA is interested in supporting e-health and m-health related work, and has gathered a small cohort of people who would like to interact with European partners (current or future) to develop EC grant proposals,' Professor Soar said.
The two-day workshop was held in Budapest on May 19-20.
