The party before the study

Steven Minnegal, Naomi Minnegal and Angela Morris,
all from Hervey Bay, catch up over lunch during
Orientation Week

New students at USQ Fraser Coast campus were able to let their hair down and party this week before getting down to the serious business of study next Monday 28 February.

Students have been attending a week of orientation events, which included entertainment and carnival games and activities such as a rock climb wall, bungee sling, candle-making and free fairy floss and food.

About 250 new students were welcomed to the campus by USQ Fraser Coast Provost Professor Ken Stott.

This week they are meeting their lecturers, touring the campus and attending workshops to familiarise themselves with the computer system and library service.
