USQ celebrates win at Whale Parade

 USQ Fraser Coast took out the top prize for the best walking ‘float’ at the 2010 Fraser Coast Chronicle Illuminated Street Parade during Hervey Bay’s Whale Festival.

The entry featured four angel fish illuminated with fairy lights.

Accompanying the fish were more than 20 staff members and their families dressed in academic robes.
The theme of the parade was ‘eco friendly’, which the USQ Fraser Coast marketing department used to recycle the fish costumes from last year.

The fish had a whale of a time, dancing most of the way along the two-kilometre crowd-lined route to Hervey Bay’s Seafront Oval.
