USQ prepares students for green workplace
The expo will be held at the Toowoomba campus

In a bid to offer students wider career choices in the sustainable industries, USQ will host a ‘Greening your Career’ expo tomorrow, Wednesday 19 May.
With industries and governments around the world wanting to promote a much more environmentally responsible footprint, Manager of USQ Careers and Employment, Tanya Morgan, said USQ was hosting the 'Greening your Career' event to increase awareness of emerging green and sustainable career options that are increasingly available to students and to celebrate National Career Development Week.
'This is a phenomenon of the 21st Century where jobs are being created to meet the rapidly developing needs of an environmentally aware market,' Tanya said.
'With larger numbers of students being more environmentally conscious they want the option of working for a company that reflects their own personal values and beliefs and which promote sustainable work practices.
'The idea behind the expo is to bring both employers and students together and to job search opportunities from a sustainable perspective.'
