Iron man to focus on business
Guy Leech will be guest speaker at the USQ Fraser Coast Focus on Business night |
Champion ironman and successful businessman Guy Leech will visit Fraser Coast on Wednesday 1 June to help motivate local business people.
He will speak at the third annual USQ Fraser Coast Focus on Business night at the campus in Hervey Bay.
Mr Leech shot to fame as a 19-year-old in 1984 by winning the Coolangatta Gold ironman race. He now runs Guy Leech Health; a company which helps others get fit.
Organiser of the Focus on Business night Tas Webber, from USQ Fraser Coast, said every business professional could benefit from listening to others who have experienced success.
'Often there is a correlation between personal and business success,' he said. 'Understanding these characteristics may provide a competitive advantage.
'As a successful businessman, Guy Leech will share his story and tips on strengthening business relations. The presentation will focus on understanding the competitive environment, motivation and personal traits for success.
'In the past we have had Australian entrepreneurs Bob Ansett (from Budget Rentals) and Tom Potter (founder of Eagle Boys) speak at these events. Those nights were a huge success.'
Entry is free but bookings are essential. To make a booking phone Tas Webber on +61 7 4194 3142 or email Tasmond.Webber@usq.edu.au
