Dean launches renamed faculty at Business Hervey Bay

The Dean of USQ's Faculty of Business and Law recently launched the newly renamed faculty at Business Hervey Bay.

Professor Allan Layton said that by adding the word ‘law’ to the faculty’s title more accurately reflected the comprehensive range of programs on offer.

He said the name change was a significant development for the university.

'We are confident it will bring positive results,' Professor Layton said.

It will not only serve to enhance the faculty’s profile in the higher education sector, but it will also be very appealing to students, staff and potential employers.

The faculty’s School of Law was established in 2007 and is one of the newest and most dynamic law schools in the country.

Professor Layton was one of a number of Toowoomba-based USQ academics to attend the monthly business networking session at the USQ Fraser Coast campus in Hervey Bay.
