International Community of Practice launched for 2011
USQ’s successful ‘Community of Practice’(CoP) initiative has been boosted with the relaunch of the International Community of Practice.

The International Community of Practice deals with a diverse area of the University’s operation and will see changes in 2011 to further improve this CoP.
Professor Bill Lovegrove, USQ’s Vice-Chancellor and President said that the CoP initiative had proved to be valuable for the University.
“USQ has a great policy framework and strategy in the international area,” Professor Lovegrove said.
“The Community of Practice has had a great impact for the staff involved and to implement the strategy and policy framework.”
The Community of Practice framework has been adopted by USQ partners overseas to great effect including at SEGi in Malaysia.
Ms Bronwyn Bartsch, Senior Partner Performance Coordinator in USQ’s Student Management Division said that they hope to achieve greater engagement and individual focus for the International CoP in the future
.
“We want to enhance the Community of Practice so that participants can focus on their field of expertise or employment,” Ms Bartsch said.
“The International Community of Practice has a very broad set of priority areas and we are seeking to make it as useful to members as possible.”
Changes for 2011 could include subgroups of the International Community of Practice, special interest topics and cultural events.
USQ has 21 communities of practice, the first being established in 2006.
