 Catherine Land, from Sunnybank Hills,
took part in Donald James Waters’
acrylics and charcoal class at the
four-day McGregor on the Bay workshop.

The three West Australians were among 49 people to take part in the third annual creative art schools at the University of Southern Queensland Fraser Coast campus.

Apart from the usual fine arts classes, this year’s McGregor on the Bay included classes for creative writing and polymer clay jewellery.
Peter Griffen, from Sydney, presented a class in colour, abstraction, still life and the figure.

For the third year, Melbourne artist Donald James Waters conducted the popular classes in acrylics and charcoal.

Charles Sluga, from the Victorian town of Yackandandah, taught his art to an enthusiastic and prolific class.

Penelope Gilbert-Ng, of Brisbane, once again tutored in pastels to a talented group of artists.

The new polymer clay jewellery class was taught by Melanie Dilday, of Byron Bay, and the creative writing class was presented by award-winning novelist Sue Gough, of Brisbane.
