More than 160 artists, musicians, photographers and crafts people from all over Australia will inject over a quarter of a million dollars into the region's economy during USQ’s McGregor Winter School.
Held this week, the McGregor Winter School will give people a chance to participate in a range of different experiences and activities taught to them by tutors who are experts in their field.
Christine Matthews, Winter School Coordinator, said, ‘This is the 23rd year the Winter School has been run and is continuing to be very popular.’
‘We cater for people of all ages. We have a woman who is over 80 and one man who has been involved in every winter school for the past 23 years.’
Christine said that while many of the participants are staying in the University’s residential colleges, a large number of students have taken up many of the motel accommodation places in Toowoomba.
