USQ recently acknowledged the outstanding achievements of the University’s partner organisation students by awarding eight scholarships to high-achieving students.
The winning students, who are studying with one of USQ’s International partners, were given scholarships to the value of $500 each.
Senior Partner Performance Coordinator, Ms Bronwyn Bartsch, said the calibre of the nominated students was outstanding.
'Semester 3 2008 and Semester 1 2009 was the first time the scholarships were awarded and with each round, we are receiving more nominations from the partners,' Ms Bartsch said.
Winners of the semesters 2 and 6 round were Kanza Zia (nominated by Proserve), Nurjis Harun Sethi (nominated by USQ Sydney Education Centre), Yi Zheng (nominated by ZUST) and Xuejing Tong (nominated by ZUCC).
Winners of the prizes for outstanding students studying in semesters 3, 2008 and 1, 2009, were Kateryna Navyzynska (nominated by Proserve), Lili Zhou (nominated by ZUST) and Karen Terblanche (nominated by South Africa – Australian Education Centre).
The winners were nominated by a USQ partner organisation and are all studying a USQ program, have completed at least six courses of study and have achieved a high cumulative grade point average.
