Science geeks wage War on Error
The dynamic duo of science, Dr Karl Kruszelnicki and Adam Spencer, Australia’s sleekest geeks, are once again taking to the highways and byways of Australia for National Science Week and free tickets for the Toowoomba stop-over are available from the Mary Ryan Bookstore/ABC Shop and the Clive Berghofer Recreation Centre next Monday (2 August).
This rip-roaring extravaganza of science will wow an expected audience of 2000 on Friday 20 August at 7pm in the Clive Berghofer Recreation Centre but there is a limit of two tickets per customer unless prior arrangements have been made.
Adam and Dr Karl will drag the audience by the ear through their fast-talking, roller-coaster ride of fabulous facts and sensational stories on this year’s topic of “The War on Error”.
The Sleek Geeks Tour has entertained fans around the world, with the Ig-Nobel award winning Dr Karl, who will make his acting debut on “Neighbours” on 20 August, and the self-proclaimed prince of breakfast radio, Adam Spencer, in previous years performing to sell-out audiences from London’s West End to Broome in Western Australia.
Triple J’s Music guru Mel Bampton from Mel in the Morning will be MC-ing the comedic coercion of science.
Sleek Geek Week is made possible through the generous support of the Dept of Education, Science & Training and the Dept of Industry, Tourism and Resources for National Science Week 2003.
