USQ Toowoomba is a hive of activity this week as hundreds of students converge on campus to participate in orientation activities.
Traditionally held each year in the final countdown to Semester 1, the event is designed to give new students the chance to explore the campus, learn more about their program, meet staff and fellow students, and have some fun.
Specific activities are planned for new domestic, international and distance education students.
Each Faculty has staff on-hand to answer students’ questions, advise them on how to succeed at University and conduct campus and library tours. Students can personalise their orientation schedule through USQStudyDesk in order to work around their other commitments.
The week’s entertainment includes carnival games and activities, information stalls, pizza-eating competitions and a USQ Student Guild Market Day.
Semester 1 begins on Monday 28 February.
