USQ ranked #3 in Best University to Work for Award
|
USQ has been rated one of Australia's best universities to work for |
USQ's strong relationship with staff, health and safety initiatives and flexible working hours has contributed to it being named one of the top three universities to work for in Australia.
USQ was placed third in the Best University to Work for Award 2010, by UniJobs, an online recruitment group that undertook a nationwide survey to recognise and reward organisations rated by their staff as the best universities to work for in the country.
The assessment focused on employee welfare areas such as organisational development, work hours, employee benefits, multicultural development, overall management, occupational health and safety, health and well being, employee relations and training and development.
USQ scored highly for its relationship with employees, its safe work practices, flexibility work hours and in its staff training and development programs.
USQ Vice-Chancellor, Professor Bill Lovegrove, said people were the University’s most valuable asset and its commitment to staff and students was reflected in these positive results.
'USQ’s range of policies, programs and initiatives ensure employees are safe and productive in the workplace and maintain a good work/life balance,' Professor Lovegrove said.
'This has contributed to a strong foundation of trust, pride and a productive workplace.'
