USQ and ACODE receive Carrick Grant to support the dissemination of the ACODE Benchmarks in e-Learning

USQ has received $51,900 from the Carrick Institute's Discipline-Based Initiatives Scheme to conduct a series of workshops across Australia supporting the dissemination of the ACODE benchmarks in e-Learning.

Project leader and current ACODE President, Professor Alan Smith says the project will provide positive benefits to those institutions seeking to improve technology-mediated teaching and learning. Training in the use of the benchmarks will assist universities to assess their own performance and improve practice.

Half day workshops will be held to provide an overview of the benchmarks: their purpose, structure and how to use them.  An opportunity will be provided to work through one of the following topic areas:

  • Institution policy and governance for technology supported learning and teaching
  • Planning for, and quality improvement of the integration of technologies for learning and teaching
  • Information technology infrastructure to support learning and teaching
  • Pedagogical application of information and communication technology
  • Professional/staff development for the effective use of technologies for learning and teaching
  • Staff support for the use of technologies for learning and teaching
  • Student training for the effective use of technologies for learning
  • Student support for the use of technologies for learning

Christine Goodacre is the facilitator of each workshop. Christine is widely acknowledged as excellent presenter and was one of the key initiators of the development of the ACODE e-learning benchmarks during her time on the ACODE Executive. All workshops will be held between 9.00am - 1.00pm.

Please find below information about the workshop locations and dates. Workshop participation is free.
