USQ Readies for AUQA Visit
USQ's AUQA (Australian University Quality Agency) portfolio is almost ready to be submitted prior to the audit bureau's visit later this year.
AUQA's June visit is part of an audit cycle that will examine among other things how the University has responded to recommendations from its initial audit in 2002. Areas in which the AUQA audit team will also be reviewing USQ's operations will be in Internationalisation and Program Design and Delivery.
Staff across the university's three campuses have been involved in the preparations for the audit with a number of reports and documents being prepared to assist the AUQA team in their assessments.
AUQA assesses universities by benchmarking best practice examples and advising on how universities might improve their business and teaching practices. AUQA commendations can lead to increased enrolments and funding for research and teaching programs.

To help staff across the university understand how they can contribute to AUQA and assist the University as it prepares for the team's visit a number of staff have volunteered as AUQA Advocates to help communicate information about AUQA within their sections, departments and faculties.
Advocates will act as contact points throughout the university and will be available to lead discussion and exchange ideas on how USQ can best address the needs of the AUQA audit.
