Fourteen USQ Fraser Coast Faculty of Sciences graduates, including one from Singapore, have been awarded for their high achievement during a special ceremony.

Dean of Sciences Professor Janet Verbyla was master of ceremonies and presented the Faculty Medal to nursing graduate Natasha Felton.

Natasha also received a Dean's Commendation and the Australian College of Nursing Highest Achiever Award, after graduating with distinction.

USQ Head of Department (Nursing and Midwifery) Professor Cath Rogers-Clark and Associate Professor (Nursing) Trudy Yuginovich presented the Dean's Commendation Awards.

The recipients were: Jan Bond, Lynda Cook, Sarah Emmerson, Kara Gadischke, Leeanne Hallows, Anna Hessling, Helen Kratzmann, Shirely Lim, Vivienne McKenery, Roxanne Piper, Esther Rushton and Rebecca Sultana.

Shirley Lim, who travelled to Hervey Bay from Singapore to attend the ceremony and graduation, and Esther Rushton were awarded their degrees with distinction.
