USQ Presents 'Bombshells' at the Empire Theatre
USQ is well-known for its support of the arts. On Friday 3 October the university presented the Perth Theatre Company's production of "Bombshells" on stage at the Empire Theatre.
Written by leading Australian playwright Joanna Murray-Smith, 'Bombshells' starred USQ graduate Michelle Fornasier.
The Empire Theatre organised a sumptuous cocktail party before the show to recognise USQ's ongoing support. After the show, guests were treated to an informal mix and mingle with the cast.
Last year USQ brought 'The Ten Sopranos' to the Empire Theatre, this year it was 'Bombshells' and next year will be 'Steele Magnolias'.
In addition to supporting performances at the Empire Theatre, USQ supports the arts through its own arts production house, Artsworx which is responsible for a wide range of visual and performing arts, film, literature, history and fashion. USQ is also activity involved in a range of community arts activities.
