IT at USQ
IT is an important part of study at USQ. You will often need access to a computer to research and write assignments but you will also be able to access a wide range of USQ resources to assist your study.
UConnect
The entrance to USQ computer systems is via UConnect. You will need a login and password to access this. Through this portal you will be able to:
-
download lectures, study notes and other materials associated with a course as well as communicate with your lecturer and fellow students (
USQStudyDesk)
-
view and change your enrolment, check due dates and results, and more
Student Centre
-
ask a question about enrolment and study (
USQAssist).
Student computing standards
To take advantage of online systems and services provided by the University you should check the student computing standards for the type of hardware and software best suited to match our systems.
Computer labs
At each campus you can access a number of computer labs, some of which are open 24/7 for personal study use. All USQ lab computers provide access to the Internet, word processing, database and spreadsheet software.
UMail - student email
You are given a UMail (student email) account on enrolment at USQ. Email is used extensively by the University so it is important to keep it current and check it regularly.
Other ICT services
A wide range of services and support is available through ICT services for students.
