Message from the Vice-Chancellor
Welcome to the University of Southern Queensland and congratulations on your success in obtaining a place here.
USQ's unique identity within the Australian higher education sector is based on its position of excellence in flexible educational delivery and its role in providing educational opportunities towards fulfilling lives.
Orientation Week has been designed to help you settle into University life at USQ. During the week you will have the opportunity to meet staff and other students, explore the campus and learn more about your program.
During Semester One you will be offered support from our dedicated team of staff and learn USQ's commitment to providing a positive student experience.
Please take the time to learn about the services and opportunities we have to offer. When you graduate from USQ you will possess more than a degree. You will be an independent thinker, an effective problem solver and have the skills and knowledge to adapt to an everchanging world. These abilities are encapsulated in the five qualities of a USQ Graduate.
I hope you enjoy O-Week at USQ and excel in your studies in 2010.
Professor Bill Lovegrove
USQ Vice-Chancellor
