Meeting other students
Meeting new people and making contacts is an important part of the university experience. These people may become your friends or study partners and make your time here memorable.
For on-campus students
Studying with others is one way to make study more profitable and enjoyable. You will meet and form study groups during tutorials and lectures but there are other opportunities as well. The University and the Student Guild provide you with a range of student events and activities all year round, including sporting teams and social clubs.
While on campus relax and enjoy yourself at a number of cafes and eateries. Students over 18 years of age may also have a drink at the licensed University Club, which provides live entertainment year round.
The University also provides you with opportunity during orientation week to meet people with similar experiences.
For off-campus students
If you are off campus there are many opportunities to meet with your fellow students. Take the initiative to introduce yourself at Residential Schools and if you meet during online discussions within a course.
