Academic staff

You can find out who your teachers are for your particular course by looking at your StudyDesk. You can also find them in your Introductory Book, under the Course Personnel heading or in the course specifications.

There are generally three types of teachers that you will encounter:

• Course Leader
• Lecturer
• Tutor.

The Course Leader is the person who is responsible for discussion boards and checking that the course is running correctly. You can contact them with any issues regarding course content, deadlines, etc.

The Lecturer is a full time or part-time member of the faculty employed by USQ to lecture on a particular subject or teach a particular course.

The Tutor is a member of the teaching staff who instructs students (in tutorials) and marks assessment pieces.

It is important to note these names because they will be the best people to speak to about your courses.
