Writing Skills

Writing at university is a unique experience and differs in significant respects from writing completed at school, TAFE or work. Although we might expect students to arrive at university with the appropriate thinking, reading and writing skills, this is often not the case. It might be necessary in many cases to provide students with guidance on how to plan, read for, think about and write an assignment in ways that will ensure that they do not plagiarise. Resources for staff are available in some areas.
