Strategic Management Information System

In 2002, AUQA commended USQ for the development of its Strategic Management Information System (SMIS). Since that time SMIS has evolved from an executive reporting and scanning application, associated with compliance with national reporting requirements, to include:

  • university-wide environmental scanning resource
  • specific purpose analysis functions
  • planning and review facilities and
  • reporting to academic governance and management
  • student demand forecasting,
  • budgetary resource allocation
  • course and program accreditation
  • course and program review
  • academic portfolio management and
  • USQ Strategic Alignment Reporting to Council.
