How do we know the arts are good for us?
Dr Rebecca Scollen
Driven by regular concerns and comments made at regional arts forums about the lack of advocacy for the sector and the instability this causes for small arts organisations and artists, this project seeks to measure the non-economic benefits (social and health) of the arts to regional Australia. The project will concentrate efforts to secure linkage funds with national industry partners and chief investigators with suitable expertise in this area, with a view to establishing a sustainable regional arts industry both in Toowoomba and in other regional communities throughout Australia.
