Researchers (both staff and students) are required to obtain ethics approval before implementing any amendment to an approved project.
The researcher will need to advise the Ethics Committee Support Officer by email (email@example.com) of the amendment being made prior to the expiry date of the approved research and attach the AEC Request for Amendment Form which will include the reason/s for the amendment. An amendment to an application cannot be submitted after the expiry date of the approved research.
Researchers are required to provide a report on the AEC Progress/Final Report Form (DOC 119KB) to the Animal Ethics Commitee twelve months after receiving ethical clearance, or at the conclusion of the project. A questionnaire for monitoring scientific work involving animals will be sent and will need to be completed and attached to the report.
