Excellence in Research for Australia

The Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) initiative assesses research quality within Australia's higher education institutions using a combination of indicators and expert review by committees.

USQ rated as world-class

The Australian Research Council (ARC) has rated research at USQ as world-class in a nationwide study. Mapping the areas of research carried out by Australian universities over a six-year period from 2003, the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) study determined USQ as performing world-class research in the four clusters of:

  1. agriculture and veterinary sciences
  2. mathematical sciences
  3. physical sciences
  4. accounting and auditing.

All of USQ’s ERA ratings can be found on the ARC’s ERA 2010 National Report.

ERA 2012

USQ's ERA 2012 submission to the Australian Research Council for ERA 2012 will commence 5 March 2012. USQ has developed a set of internal timelines (available at www.usq.edu.au/research/staff/era/a-resources) to ensure we meet the submission date. Please note that the ERA interface will be open for researchers to check and update Field of Research (FoR) codes at 9am, Thursday 10 November 2011 and closes at 5pm, 30 November 2011.
