Conferences

Requirements

  • must meet the definition of research
  • must be published in full
    • papers can appear in a number of different formats, e.g. a volume of proceedings, a special edition of a journal, a normal issue of a journal, a book or a monograph, CD-ROM or conference or organisational website.
  • must have been peer-reviewed
  • be presented at conferences, workshops or seminars of national or international significance
  • the author must be affiliated with USQ
  • be published in 2011 to be claimed in the 2012 HERDC submission

Conference publications do not require an ISBN or need to be published by a commercial publisher.

The types of conference publications that do not meet the criteria include:

  • papers that appear only in a volume handed out to conference participants
  • keynote addresses
  • plenary addresses
  • poster presentations
  • abstracts of conference publications

Verification material to be provided

  • Paper or offprint of paper (published version)
  • Contents, preface and introduction
  • Pages showing all relevant bibliographic information (ISBN/ISSN - if applicable, title, editor, authors, publisher, publication/print/copyright dates)
  • Proof of national/international significance if not clearly shown in documents above
  • By-line or footnote or statement in publication indicating research undertaken in author’s capacity as a staff member or student of USQ
  • Peer-review evidence
  • Proof of keynote status (if applicable)
